SPRING HIKE + PICNIC 13 APRIL
Join us for wonderful spring hike starting in Shiplake and ending in Henley on Thames.
The hike is stunning, and filled with beautiful scenery and wildlife. We’ll walk along the River Thames, explore some beautiful ancient woodlands, walk through the Grey’s Court estate and into Henley on Thames.
The woods are home to soaring beech trees, ancient oaks, pines and majestic silver birches. Much of the woodlands and roadside verges are carpeted with bluebells which (weather permitting) will be at the beginning of their flowering season during our walk. We’ll see a huge variety of birds and butterflies, deer and horses along the route.
The walk is relatively gentle, with some gradual climbs and descents as we navigate through the rolling Chiltern hills.
We’ll pause to forest bath, tuning in to the sounds, smells and sights of the woodland. This practice can help boost creativity, reduce anxiety and improve mood.
We’ll stop for a picnic lunch in a picturesque setting and for drinks and toilet breaks at pubs along the route. At the end of the hike we’ll pause to stretch and (energy levels permitting) practice some acroyoga in a beautiful riverside meadow.
